Yannis Hamilakis is Senior Lecturer at the University of Southampton and has taught at the University of Wales Lampeter (1996-2000) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2005). He has held a number of research fellowships with most recent a residential scholarship at the Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles (2005-2006). He has published extensively on the politics of the past, the archaeology of the consuming body, and the prehistory of the Aegean.
