You'll also find that, as serials prices go through the roof, we've made a deliberate decision not to follow that trend.
Quality
All of our publications are of top scholarly quality, carefully reviewed by experts, well researched, and thoroughly referenced. We are participating in the Library of Congress Cataloging-in-Publication Program. Our materials will make crucial contributions to library collections in several fields, including archaeology, anthropology, museum studies and practice, sociology, research methods, history and historic preservation, environmental studies and management, and several others. All of our books and journals are printed on acid-free paper that complies with the American National Standard for Information Sciences-Permanence of Paper for Printed Library Materials, and whenever feasible we use recycled paper that also meets these standards.
Ordering
Left Coast Press, Inc. books are distributed worldwide by a network of distributors. Libraries buying directly from our distributors receive a discount on standing orders for series. Additional sales terms are available from these distributors. They are also available from all major wholesalers and library suppliers.
U.S. libraries and organizations wishing to use a purchase order should establish credit through our U.S. distributor, Chicago Distribution Center.
Our journals are available directly from Left Coast Press, Inc. and from all major subscription agents. Journals are shipped media mail unless special delivery is requested; postage outside the U.S. is $5.00 per issue. Journal prices for each subsequent year will be announced in June and updated as necessary. Prices are subject to change without notice, and payments must be made in U.S. dollars only. Online subscriptions to
Left Coast journals are currently available through Metapress. Electronic subscriptions should be ordered directly from our
Walnut Creek office. We belong to the
Shared Electronic Resource Understanding (SERU) registry.
We are in the process of making selected book titles electronically available through Google, Ebrary, CCC and other electronic vendors.
